Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SolidCrew ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

SolidCrew is a construction bidding marketplace that connects residential builders with subcontractors. Builders post scoped projects by trade, and contractors submit competitive quotes. The Platform facilitates discovery and communication — it does not employ, endorse, or guarantee any builder or contractor.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may register as a Builder (to post projects and review bids) or a Contractor (to browse projects and submit bids).
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate bidding is prohibited.

4. Posting Projects

• Builders may post projects with descriptions, photos, build plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Project listings are publicly visible. No login is required to view a project.
• Builders are responsible for the accuracy of project details.
• Projects automatically close after 30 days if no bid is accepted.

5. Submitting Bids

• Contractors may submit one bid per project.
• Bids may include line-item pricing, price ranges, or uploaded PDF quotes.
• The lowest bid on each project is publicly visible to encourage competitive pricing.
• Bid submission does not require an account, but account creation is required to finalize. Pending bids expire after 24 hours if no account is created.
• Bids cannot be edited or withdrawn once submitted.

6. Fees

SolidCrew is currently free to use for both builders and contractors. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with advance notice to existing users.

7. Contact Information

Phone numbers and email addresses are visible on user profiles. By adding contact information to your profile, you consent to it being displayed to other platform users for the purpose of project communication.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting fraudulent, misleading, or spam project listings.
• Submitting bids with no intent to perform the work.
• Creating fake accounts or manipulating the bidding process.
• Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users.
• Scraping, crawling, or automated data collection from the Platform.
• Uploading malicious files or content.

9. Limitation of Liability

SolidCrew is a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed as a result of connections made on the Platform. We are not a party to any agreement between builders and contractors. Users engage with each other at their own risk.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your profile and personal data will be removed, but project listings and bids may be retained in anonymized form.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bergen County, New Jersey.
