When you use SolidCrew, we collect information you provide directly:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, company name, and county/location when you create an account.
  • Profile information: bio, company size, years in business, license number, portfolio photos, and social media links.
  • Project information: project descriptions, scope of work, photos, build plans, budget ranges, and timelines posted by builders.
  • Bid information: pricing, line items, PDF quotes, and messages submitted by contractors.
  • Communications: messages exchanged between builders and contractors through the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain the SolidCrew marketplace platform.
  • To connect builders with subcontractors by displaying project listings and bids.
  • To display your profile and contact information to other users as part of the marketplace.
  • To send notifications about bids, project updates, and account activity.
  • To improve our services and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Visibility

SolidCrew is a public marketplace. The following information is visible to other users:

  • Builders: company name, profile photo, location, bio, project types, website, Instagram, and posted projects.
  • Contractors: name, company name, profile photo, trades, location, bio, portfolio, and bid pricing (lowest bid per project is public).
  • Projects: project details, photos, and build plans are publicly accessible without login.
  • Contact information: phone numbers and email addresses on profiles are visible to logged-in users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) and DigitalOcean Spaces for file storage. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with Google OAuth and email/password options.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: database and authentication.
  • Google OAuth: sign-in authentication.
  • DigitalOcean Spaces: file and photo storage.
  • Vercel: hosting and analytics.
  • SendGrid: email notifications.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your profile information at any time through Settings.
  • Delete your account and associated data through Settings.
  • Contact us to request a copy of your data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication session management. We use Vercel Analytics for basic page view tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
